Brookstone School
Port Harcourt·Nigeria·Brookstone's curriculum is organized into Preschool, Lower School, Intermediate School, Middle School, and Upper School on a 100-acre campus. Preschool provides a play-based program with literacy, mathematics, science and social studies, plus enrichment and Spanish. Lower School uses a reading and writing workshop approach and Singapore Math, with M.A.S.T.E.R Lab, Spanish, art, music and physical education. Intermediate School emphasizes socioemotional learning, executive functioning and leadership, with a Morning Meeting and a four-to-five period day that includes PE, Spanish, Technology, Art and Music. Middle School is a 1:1 technology environment offering English, math, science, social studies and world languages, plus music, drama, public speaking, creative writing, STEAM and leadership through The Coalition and advising. Upper School has 22 AP classes and 18 honors courses, with many electives; the goal is 100% college attendance, graduation requires 22.5 credits, and The Learning Center provides accommodations for learning differences.
