Deutsche Schule Athen, founded in 1896, is a German overseas school in Athens serving students ages 3 to 18 through Kindergarten and Sekundarstufe II. The school follows a German curriculum with pronounced Greek emphasis, offering instruction in both German and Greek across its divisions, and awards the DIA qualification upon completion, which provides access to higher education in Germany and many other countries. Students in the upper school may choose between Profil D, taught primarily in German, or Profil E, which combines German instruction in science with Greek instruction in humanities, alongside electives including Ancient Greek, French, and Computer Science.
